We set off to take advantage of a perfect moonless night in Joshua Tree National Park. My buddy recommended we shoot our Milky Way photos at Penguin Rock on Sunday June 30th.
Not my first time at the park, but first time at this location. Really a great vantage point with the King Penguin look to this rock formation, the bent Joshua tree next it, Surprisingly for it being a holiday week, there was nobody at this campground area.
You will see light trails from jets flying overhead. Palm Springs and Ontario airports were very busy this night. I chose to leave these in the photos because I liked how it looked.
Everything shot on a Sony A7RV with a Viltrox 16mm 1.8 lens. Photos taken at various times throughout the night.
