Fall colors in the Eastern Sierra

A very memorable trip my wife and I took was one we had wanted to do for a while… to see the fall colors in the Eastern Sierra in person. Seeing the various photos posted over the years is what fed our desire to go. I have no idea why we didn’t do it sooner. I will say that once you see all the awesome colors in person, you can’t help but want to repeat this every year going forward. The color palette and awesome opportunity to photograph it all really made for a fun and relaxing mini vacation!

We visited Virginia Lakes, Silver Lake, Lundy Lake and the June Lake Loop. Great colors all over for sure! The photos below were taken on my Sony A6300 and my iPhone.

Some day, I’d love to stay up here for several weeks just to further appreciate the weekly change of colors during this period and fill up a hard drive with awesome fall photos!

Love the photos of my wife and I. I especially like the Loop photo with the single reddish-orange tree that stands out.
